GIVING WRITERS A HAND UP

Writers Supporting Writers

WCCW is more than just a conference. We’re also a nonprofit organization that supports writers in many different ways, thanks to the generous giving of our donors. We offer writers a hand-up, not a handout; all financial aid is partial so the recipient has skin in the game and is serious about their writing.

Are financial obstacles getting in the way of completing a writing project? Do you need new tech in order to achieve your writing goals? Do you need a day away from life's distractions to focus on writing, but can't afford it? Apply for a grant today. Successful applicants are writers working on a specific project. They will demonstrate financial need and provide details about a work in progress.

The grant application opens for a two-week period three to four times a year. Grants are awarded as funds are available. If your application is not successful, you may re-apply after a one-year waiting period. Grant recipients will be asked to submit receipts and share a testimonial of impact for our donors.

BECOME A CHAMPION

Can you make a difference in a writer's life? Consider becoming part of the WCCW Community of Champions. A Champion is someone who commits to giving $20 per month/$240 per year or more to support the mission of WCCW by partnering with our nonprofit to support Christian writers. Champions receive an annual report of their tax-deductible donations, an annual thank you gift box, and are invited to:

  • Quarterly Champions Writers Salon, where we gather online to discuss writing and publishing, and hear from leading voices.

  • The annual in-person Community of Champions breakfast, held at the annual conference, where we celebrate you with giveaways, inspiration, and stories of your impact.
