GIVING WRITERS A HAND UP
Writers Supporting Writers
WCCW is more than just a conference. We’re also a nonprofit organization that supports writers in many different ways, thanks to the generous giving of our donors. We offer writers a hand-up, not a handout; all financial aid is partial so the recipient has skin in the game and is serious about their writing.

Are financial obstacles getting in the way of completing a writing project? Do you need new tech in order to achieve your writing goals? Apply for a grant today. Successful applicants are writers working on a specific project. They will demonstrate financial need and provide details about a work in progress. WCCW members may receive priority consideration.
The grant application opens for a two-week period twice a year. Grants are awarded as funds are available. If your application is not successful, you may re-apply after a one-year waiting period. Grant recipients will be asked to submit receipts and share a testimonial of impact for our donors.

The grant application is open July 20 - Aug 3, 2026.

TECHNOLOGY
MICROGRANTS
These days a writer needs technology. Sometimes a writer’s technology fails or is inadequate and they need a new keyboard, help purchasing software, or even a new device. A tech support microgrant can provide up to $275 toward a deserving writer’s tech needs.

Applications open twice a year.

ONE-ON-ONE COACHING FOR WRITERS
This grant provides writers with one free 30-min session with an expert WCCW writing coach. Get feedback and advice and ask questions on your work in progress, book proposal, or pitch sheet. You decide the focus of your session. This grant is valued at $125, which will be paid directly to the coach.

Applications open twice a year.
BECOME A CHAMPION
Can you make a difference in a writer's life? Consider becoming part of the WCCW Community of Champions. A Champion is someone who commits to giving $20 per month/$240 per year or more to support the mission of WCCW by partnering with our nonprofit to support Christian writers. Champions receive an annual report of their tax-deductible donations, an annual thank you gift box, and are invited to:
-
Quarterly Champions Writers Salon, where we gather online to discuss writing and publishing, and hear from leading voices.
-
The annual in-person Community of Champions breakfast, held at the annual conference, where we celebrate you with giveaways, inspiration, and stories of your impact.
